CP filing question

Hi,

 

My GC filing details

EB3 

I-140 approved with PD June 2004. 

I came back to India  5 years back, My H1B expired while I am in India, I dont have AP my I-485 is abandoned.

My PD is current now.

Now I would like to file I-824 (consular processing) from India, my employer agreed to continue the case.

Since my PD is current I may get GC in 6 months but my dependents who have approved I-140 cannot come to US with me for another two years coz of college. 

I am thinking of  filing CP for myself now and once I get the GC and after coming to US, I will apply CP for my dependents, can that be done or I have to apply for all of us at the same time? 

what is the best solution ?
