COS from H4 to F1 while pending RFE for H1B/H4 extension

Hello All,

 

I have filed H1B/H4 extension in premium process and got RFE.

Me and my wife's visa (H1B/H4) going to expire end of this month Sept. 30th, 2015.

I still need to answer my RFE.

 

My wife wants to pursue her MS and wants to file Change of Status (COS) from H4 to F1. I have following questions:

 

1) Is it fine if I submit COS from H4 to F1 knowing that H4 extension is in process and I still need to answer my RFE that may take 1-2 months?

2) The new COS application (H4 to F1) will void my wife's H4 extension application (RFE)?

3) Will her COS affect my H1B extension decision?

4) What happens to H4 extension application if COS (H4 to F1) get approves?
