L2 to l1b conversion

Hi,

Currently I am in l2 with EAD and wot

Raking with employer for whom I worked in india from last 6 years. Can I go for l2 to l1 if my employer files it. What are chances that I would be moved to l1.

Also, what is the process for the Same and how much time it would take.

You must have worked for your company outside the US for 1 year in the 3 year period before your L-1 is filed. In your case since you have worked for that employer for last 6 years so you should be able to meet the criteria.

 

You can file for a change of status from L-2 to L-1 without leaving the U.S. I can't say whether it will be easy to get or the COS might get denied. It can be similar to the L1 extension process.
