H1b 221G Blue slip

Hello All,

 

I attended H1B visa on 10th Sep 2015 at Chennai consulate at 2.30pm.

 

VO asked few generic questions like which company, have been to US earlier,

(I was in US for 4 years on L1B)

VO asked : how did you came to know about this company.

I mentioned through employee referral

VO asked me you will be working at Inhouse project or at client place.

I mentioned Inhouse project.

then VO asked about to give project details document which your petitioner has provided

I mentioned petitioner has not provided any documents related to project details 

VO asked to give all the documents provided by petitioner and she reviewed and gave Blue 221g form marking few things on employer side and she mentioned to send all the documents in pdf to the email marked in that form.

1. A copy of the petition with all supporting documents as filed with USCIS

2. A detailed description of the project to which i will assigned, include complete Technical description of the project employer, time line, current status number of employees assigned work site location and marketing analysis for the final product.

3. Copies of your Petitioner's US Federal Income Tax returns for the Last two years or the following tax years. 

VO returned my passport and VO didnot even check the I-797 or I-129 LCA etc.

 

What does this mean? When i check the case number in the website it is not showing up. I also didnot receive any email regarding administrative process?

 

I am really worried about my visa? I really appreciate for feedback on this issue or anyone who had similar situation and they case status?

This means that your employer has to send all requested documents to US consulate. Once they are satisfied with the submitted documents you will get a visa.

Hi thanks for the response.

My employer told me that they are going submit all the requested documents on14 th or 15th Sep.

Is there any timeline for reviewing the submitted documents and taking decision.

The timelines are case dependent and so its tough to tell how long it would take. i would say a minimum of 3 months.

^{Thanks for the reply. I checked my status today and it is showing as Administratitive process. Eventhough after submitting required documents the case status date is not updated. I have a question, does 221g Blue form indicate that petition is referred to USCIS? Please guide me on this. In my 221g blue for the marked only 4 check boxes 1. where to send all the required docs and reset are}

it is showing as Administratitive process   - that means visa officer is still working on your case...
