Travelling Outside US during H1 Extension processing

Hello All, 

 

My H1 extension is currently under process, I have a valid visa till Dec 2015. For work purpose, I need to go to UK for a week in Sep 3rd week. 

 

Is it okay to travel outside US in between my H1 extension processing. 

 

Please confirm.
