H1B approved, need to work on L1 after sep30

Hi,

 

Current Status-L1B for Company ABC.

consulting company XYZ applied H1B.

H1b Approved with COS(Change of status) and will be effective from Oct1st.

 

I need to work on L1 till the time I do not get a new job on H1B.

My question is do I need to travel to india before Oct1st and re-enter in US after 1st Oct so that my L1B remains valid? OR is there any alternate option.

 

Please advise.
