Gombs Posted September 4, 2015 Report Posted September 4, 2015 Hi,I was on a J1 up until April 2015. I filed for J1 to H4 COS in December 2014 seeing as my J1 would expire in 5 months. My wife has an H1b. My employer filed a COS for H1b in April 2015 which was approved in July 2015. Today September 2015 my H4 was denied. I am going for H1b stamping in my home country, does this have any effect on my h1b? i phoned USCIS and the person i spoke to said i should have no problems as i am not out of status. What is your legal opinion?
