Delta1
Hello I have valid EAD/AP combo card. I will be starting a new job using AC21. If I travel outside US before starting a new job and after my last date from my current job , do you see any issue at the port of entry as I wouldn't have started my new job at that time ? I have offer letter with start date. I would appreciate your response. Thank you. Link to comment
GC_EAD
Hello Delta1, I am in the same boat as you, little different scenario though. I will be joining an employer using EAD and invoking AC21. I appreciate if you can tell how did you file the AC 21. Are you waiting for the new employer's attorney to file it Or Have you already hired an attorney? Or filing it yourself. Thank you. Link to comment
pontevecchio
No filing involved. Some lawyers advise filing proactively. Some advise waiting for an RFE if any. Link to comment
GC_EAD
Dear Pontvechio, I am aware of such high level facts and looking for specific experiences of people who filed AC 21. I appreciate if you can proactively stop replying to my posts. Your answers are not helping me. Link to comment
pontevecchio
This is a public forum. You cannot dictate as to who replies to your posts. If you need legal guidance retain a law firm. Do not take out your frustrations on me. The answer was to the OP. How are you involved in this reply? Link to comment
Delta1
Hello Friends, could you please help me on the question I asked. I have valid EAD/AP combo card. I will be starting a new job using AC21. If I travel outside US before starting a new job and after my last date from my current job , do you see any issue at the port of entry as I wouldn't have started my new job at that time ? pontevecchio
IMHO you should have no trouble as long as you answer questions truthfully without any volunteering. If this is the first time using AP you will go for secondary inspection. They may or may not ask questions and just check their computer. They will parole you in and if they want ask you to report to the local USCIS Office and this is extremely unlikely. Link to comment
