Travel on OPT

Hi,

I did Masters in IT and now working in IT field as a full time employee. My first OPT (without F1 stamping) expires on Feb 5th, 2016. I wish to travel to India during this Dec 2015.

I heard that it is not safe to travel on OPT. Please clarify the following..

1. If I travel on Dec 2015, will there be any problem in F1 stamping since my OPT expires on Feb 5th, 2016 ?

2. I will be eligible to apply for OPT STEM extension in November 2015..If I travel after getting the OPT Stem extension, is there any chance for my F1 visa stamping to get rejected ?

If you need to get F1 visa at US consulate to re-enter US on OPT then do not travel. It is highly unlikely your visa will get stamped.
