VB_22
Hello, Currently i am in US on H4 Visa. I am planning to get admission in one of the university in Jan-2016. I will go for the studies only if i get F1. I am travelling to India on Oct-15. My questions are --> 1. Being in India while applying for F1, will i need to apply for H4 to F1 COS or directly F1(i will be having I20 from college) 2. If F1 gets rejected, does it affects my H4? Thanks, VB Link to comment
jairichi
You need to go for F1 visa stamping. COS is possible only if you are in US. If rejected & H4 is not canceled you can enter US with that bald H4 visa & a copy of your spouse's I797. Link to comment
JoeF
There is no COS when you are outside the country. You need to apply for an F1 visa with the I-20. If that is a real, decent university, there shouldn't be much problems. Link to comment
