meduvade
Please respond to my 2 questions below based on my timeline. 4th August: New employer filed for H1B extension 6th August: USCIS received my case 14th August: Last day of work with previous employer (I was laid off) 14th August: Got receipt notice for H1B extension from USCIS 31st August: Start date with new employer IF the new petition gets approved - will being out of status from 15th - 30th August cause an issue during Visa Stamping or future Green Card application? will the 'out of status' get retroactively fixed? Thanks. Link to comment
jairichi
1. Since a timely H1B petition was filed before your last day of lay off you are fine. 2. Refer 1. Link to comment
