L1A to GC-EB1 after 4 years in US - Is it possible?

Hi,

I currently hold a L1-A visa (expires in Aug 2016). Prior to that, I had an L1-B visa with the same firm. In total, I've been in US with that firm for almost 4 years. Before that, I was in India with the same firm in Managerial role/title for more than a year. My question is can I apply for GC in EB-1 category?

I had read in the eligibility conditions that a person should've spent 1 year outside US in last 3 years (with the same firm). Hence, I'm a bit confused. I qualify generally for EB-1 category (have an L1-A as well), but the only question is whether it would be an issue that I've been in US for almost 4 years?

Any answers would be appreciated.

Thanks.
