L1B to L1A and I94 expiry

Hello All,

I have been in USA for three years on an L1B visa. my company has recently applied for an L1A visa and I have received the receipt. My I94 will expire in next 3 weeks.

1. Can I stay beyond I94 based on my L1A receipt.

2. If yes then how many days. I heard 240 days, is it correct?

3. What documents will I receive to support my legal status during this time.

4. If it is approved should I need to go for stamping

5. If denied ( hope it does not happen ) how much is time frame legally allowed stay
