barkulkum Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 We have completed the DS 160 for my H1B visa and my spouse H1B visa and paid the visa fees. Now my wife lost the project and could not be in status to satisfy H1B requirements, Can she update the DS-160 to represent her H4 status instead of H1B for the visa interview? Please advise.
MurthyIndia_Lawyer Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 If your wife has not scheduled her visa interview, she may have a good chance of updating a new DS160 for H4 on to her profile and schedule her H4 interview. If you both have created separate profiles you may have to contact the visa application center to have these profiles clubbed together to schedule your interviews together. However if she was not maintaining her H1B status it is best to discuss the options with an experienced immigration attorney.
