hydh1 Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 I am working as a Full time in a US company went for my first H1 stamping on July 24th 2015 in hyderabad. Visa officer interviewed me for 5-10 mins and said that my visa is approved but when I checkd the status of my visa, its showing administrative processing. My visa interview was on 24th and fingerprint schedule was on 22nd but the case status showing the case created on 23rd and updated on 24th. My 1 month vacation period has been ended and I have to go back to US in 1st week of August. I was not given any paper/forms to fill and VO didnt ask any documents. Please let me know if any one had the same situation and whats the status thanks in advance.

Well, you should have booked your visa appointment date immediately after landing in India. It was unwise of you to attend a visa interview 2 weeks before your departure date.

Then you should have attending immediately, what would you do if your visa was under 221g? Cancel the trip?

Visa interview : Hyd on 07/24 Visa status : Admin processing till Aug 4th passport delivered : Aug 5th Visa Interview: VO: Hello Me: Good morning, how are you? VO:purpose? Me:employment VO:were you on F1 before? Me:yes VO:how did you work on F1? Me:changed my status to H1 and worked VO:which states you been to in USA? Me:told VO:how long you been livng in current loction Me:told VO:when was your last trip to USA? Me:told VO:how did you come to know this company? Me:I was a contractor before and then they converted me to FTE VO:explain abt your employer? why this employer? Me:told all about the company VO:when did you come to India? Me:told VO:what were you doing since then? Me:told that I am on vacation and visiting my parents and also I have some work and I been working over vpn VO:so you changed your status to H1 and working Me:yes VO: how long you been in this place (he asked this question in the beginning and repeated now the same question) Me: told couple of other questions, I dont remember exactly. Interview went for 10 - 12 mins. VO keep typing something in computer and have took more than a min to ask each question. and then your visa is approved. Thanks everyone for all the help. I was worried but luckily, I have received the passport one day before my flight.
