H4 Renewal Stamping in Canada - Question

Hello All,

 

I am currently in US on H4.

First arrived in US on H4 in 2008 and then changed to H1 until 2014. Last year I filed for COS to H4 . and after a long wait I got my H4 Status and I-797.

 

All these years, I have not traveled outside US

 

I am planning to go to Ottawa, Canada for my Visa renewal. My husband already has a valid H1 visa stamp from Ottawa last year.

 

Can I get H4 renewal in Ottawa or do I have to get it from Home country (India)?

 

Any specific questions . documents for H4 renewal in Canada other than usual ones  like

W2/Tax Returns/Pay Stubs/Employer Verification Letters/Marriage Cert/Photos/I-797s of both,  etc

You can go to Canada if you want but it is always better to go to home country.
