Travel after h1b extension is applied - Very urgent Please help

Hello,

 

I am in a critical situation. Here is my case,

 

My I-94 Expiry date is July 31st 2015 but  I have a valid h1b visa until Jan 28 2016(Stamped). MY I-94 date is set to passport expiry date and I applied h1b extension on July 20th and didn't receive the receipt number yet which is making me panic.

 

Unless I get h1b extension receipt number, I cannot continue to stay in USA. My question is,

 

1. If I don't get receipt number before July 30th, can i travel outside the country and come back before July 31st? 

 

2. What happens after I travel outside the country and I get a receipt number? Will my h1b extension will be cancelled? Can i re entry into USA?

 

Please suggest me.

1. Discuss the matter with the company Lawyer.

2. Then if advised see if the local CBP can change the expiry date for you. More likely if the Lawyer intervenes for you.

3. Cross the Mexican Border and return with a new I94 taking care to be ABSOLUTELY TRUTHFUL about the matter with the Officer.

4. Extensions are not affected by travel.
