sreeky541
Hi Everyone, One employer filed h1b for myself and it got approved and came to US. My employer made me to sign an agreement before bringing me to US, that I will work for them for 1 year or I will pay them 10000$ and leave them. Now I am planning to change the employer. Do I need to pay him at any cost? If i dont pay him, will he be able to take a legal action against me? Will he be able to revoke the H1b. Please provide me help on these? Thanks Sasi Link to comment
JoeF
A penalty for leaving the job early is illegal in the US. Link to comment
jairichi
Possible. Why do you sign those kind of agreements? Talk to a good labor attorney. Even if employer revokes your H1B petition it should not be a problem for any employer to file a cap exempt H1B petition for you anytime. Link to comment
