asmitharad Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 Hello All,I'm planning to get married next month and my future husband is on H1B. He is a divorcee and he got his divorce in 2014 from India. I'll be applying for H4 shortly after marriage, Since he has valid visa for another 1 year, only I'm planning to go to the consulate for H4 Stamping.- Wondering, Before I attend the interview - Is there any process that my future husband should inform the consultate/USCIS that he is already divorced and going to re-marry? Or is it just sufficient to carry his legal divorce document issued by the court while attending the interview?- If there is any process involved to inform the consulate/USCIS before, Could anyone please let me know the process? As a separate question -My B2 visa was rejected twice before under 214-B even though I've my own business in India and I had documents to prove my strong ties to India. The VO didn't ask for any documents during both the sessions and my visa was rejected. Will this affect my H4 stamping?Btw, My future husband is in US for more than 9+ years on H1B and he has approved I-140. I would really appreciate for your replies and guidance....Thanks in Advance
vb3152 Posted April 13, 2016 Report Posted April 13, 2016 Hi asmitharad - I am in a similar situation as yours and would greatly appreciate any suggestions or input that you may have for me based on your experience at the consulate. Like for example what kind of questions were you asked. Did they enquire about the previous H4 on your husbands H1? On a another note were you able to complete and successfully schedule a visa interview date before your marriage?
