NKN2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 Hello, I am currently filling up the DS160 form for H4 visa stamping and have a question about "Primary Occupation". I was on H1 until June 2015 and then placed on LOA (Leave of Absence) by my employer until I get a new work authorization. So I am still in the rolls of my company (inactive employee), even though I do not work on anything and do not receive any salary. In this scenario, what should i provide under "Primary Occupation"? Would it be "HOME MAKER" or "NOT EMPLOYED" or something specific to my education like "COMPUTER SCIENCE"? As always, thanks in advance for your kind advises! Thanks, NKN

If not you will be in trouble for being out of status.
jairichi Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 If you are not working anymore then unemployed or home maker.
