Haven't receieved receipt for I-539 before i-94 expiration date

Hi,

We filed a paper i-539  a couple of weeks ago for my mom. Her I-94 is expiring in 3 days and we havent received the receipt yet. Is it okay to wait for the receipt past i-94 expiration or should she leave? I know the paper application was delivered to USCIS by tracking the delivery.

 

Any advice is much appreciated.

It is better for her to leave as currently there is a delay in getting receipt notices.
