H4-EAD without I-140 copy

Hi,

trying to apply for H4 EAD after approval of i-140. Somehow I dont have copy of I-140 from employer since they dont have policy to hand over green card documents to employee.

1. Will it be OK for me to apply for H4 EAD without any I-140 related details. 

2. If not what are my options

3. Is this common scenario, is anybody in same situation since many companies do not share I-140 details with their employees.
