H4 I94 on H1B amendment

Hi all,

 

Due to my work location change, my employer will be filing H1B Amendment in August.

 

My wife has a stamped passport and will be travelling to US in September.

Once my amendment is approved, will it cause any problems as wife's I94 will be tied to my current(old) petition and not the amended one?

Will it cause any issues during extension?

 

Any advice would be helpful.

That's fine. Will the amendment also include extension? If so, it is better if she uses the amended petition so that her I-94 will be extended as well.

Thank you. It's only an amendment, there is no extension. On the contrary, my validity could reduce by a few months as the new client letter has lesser validity.
