H1 to H4 conversion

Hello,

 

My wife last date of work is 28th July, 2015 (she is currently in her 1 month notice period).

We are planning to apply her H4 application on 15th of July.

 

Questions:-

1. Can she still work from 15th July to 28th July?

2. What change of status date we keep in I-539 form (Part 2 - 2a.)?

 

Please help me us, our goal is to get H4 application approved with no issues of out-of-status.

1. Yes.

2. For H4 a specific date for COS cannot be requested. As long as a COS petition is filed before last day of work she is fine.
