Date of Birth error in I797 approval form

I recently transferred my H1B to employer X and i joined with them. Now i found that my date of birth is wrong in I797 approval form. My employer X telling that they can fix it by sending application to USCIS. I dont know how critical it is. Will there be any issues for me? Please let me know.
