rohit180387 Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Experts, Planning to change my employer on H1-B. 1) Can I start working for the new employer as soon as the H1-B receipt (not approval/denial) is received from USCIS? 2) What docs are needed from the old employer? 3) What needs to be done when client changes on H1-B (not employer but client). LCA amendment or H!-b amendment?? Thanks for help, Regards
jairichi Posted July 2, 2015 Report Posted July 2, 2015 1.Even though it is allowed it is not wise to start work with new employer based on receipt notice. What will be your situation if new employer's H1B is denied and current employer revoked your H1B petition? 2. A copy of approved I797. 3. Amendment has to be filed.
livliv Posted July 2, 2015 Report Posted July 2, 2015 1, Yes 2. Paystubs, copy petition approval/receipt or at least the number 3. If in the same MSA (area), only LCA. If outside the MSA, LCA and amendment.
