hathisbaby Posted June 30, 2015 Report Posted June 30, 2015 My employer filed H1b for me this April. It was subject to the cap and I got the lottery. I received my receipt on around April 30. The employer's company is located in CA., so he filed the petition to USCIS California Service Center. Then on 6/15 the employer received a paper notice saying the case was transferred to Vermont Service Center. On USCIS website it says that the VSC would have jurisdiction over the case. Ok I understand that USCIS can transfer cases to whatever center they like to process the case. But later on 6/29, which is yesterday, I searched the case status again. The status changed to "On June 29, 2015, we received your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number WAC1514******, at your local office. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address." I did some research online. I saw several people had this kind of issue before. But their notice have different wording. They all have the words like "The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed." I'm worried what happened to my case. Will USCIS send someone to the employer's company to check or they have to do some background research on my case? Does anyone know why the case has been transferred twice? Thanks.
Goluram Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 You are paranoid, nothing will happen. If you have all legit document and legally maintaining your job/status then dont have to worry.
