sanju.khanna52 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Hi, I have got married in March, 2015 and my husband is an H1B visa holder (expiry in 2017). I have received my Marriage Certificate and plan to apply for H-4 visa now. But I will not be travelling to the US till the next 9-10 months due to certain commitments. Is it that if I get a H-4 visa now, that is say by month of July / August, but do not make my first travel on this visa till April 2016, my visa will be cancelled? Or is it that I can apply for the visa right now and make my first travel anytime before its expiry (that is 2017 based on husband's H1B)? Is the validity of my H-4 visa dependent on when I make my first travel? Please clarify and Thanks in advance
