ushh1b Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Hello Members,Apologies if I am in the wrong place for this query. This is my first post so still need to learn the rules. My query is that I applied for H1B visa in New Delhi consulate and after some delay I got a confirmation that my visa is approved now.Problem is that in the meantime I moved to a different country and I had withdrawn my passport while processing was being done. Now I have got an email to submit my passport to the nearest VAC and I am not in a position to travel and submit PP in New Delhi VAC.Is it possible to submit my passport for visa stamping in the local US consulate ? If yes, how can this be done and how much time delay can I expect. Thanks, sunny
jairichi Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 You have to fill DS160, pay visa filing fee, book appointment and attend interview again.

ushh1b Posted June 27, 2015 Author Report Posted June 27, 2015 You have to fill DS160, pay visa filing fee, book appointment and attend interview again. Thanks jairichi, pruthive, That's a longish option and If this is the only one, I am pushed to re-think of travelling to New Delhi to submit my passport. Before I decide that, I want to take feedback from the group on what does this email from support@ustraveldocs.com means To give the background again. I appeared for H1B appointment in May and was told by VO that my Visa is approved. I was expected to get passport with stamped visa in a week's time but that did not happen & my case went into administration processing. Since I had to urgently travel overseas, I requested to withdraw my passport while my case was still in administrative processing. Now I am overseas and I get an email after 1 month from support@ustraveldocs.com and asked to submit my passport to the nearest VAC at the earliest in order to process my Non immigration visa. Query... 1. Does this email imply that my Visa is approved (optimistic) and that is why they have asked me to submit my passport ? 2. For how many days should I plan my travel to New Delhi ? Call centre is not able to give any feedback/information on status of my case. Thanks, sunny
