Can we switch employer while H1 Extension is Pending?

I am with Company A, H1 will expire on Sep 2015.

 

They already filed for H1 Extension in regular processing (as Premium is not available now)

 

I got a full time opportunity with other client, can I switch to this client while H1B extension is still pending?

If client is going to be your employer then a cap exempt H1B petition can be filed now. No issue.

But still you need H1 from that employer.

@Pradeepcsu: you can switch to another employer while the present employer visa extension is under progress. I personally did it with out any issues. Trick here is once the new employer files the H1b transfer uscis determines the already existing petition with current employer and makes decision on that at the same time. In my case i got both of my petitions i.e. current employer extension and new employer H1b transfer was approved with in the same week.
