dramakr Posted June 23, 2015 Report Posted June 23, 2015 All, I am on H1B and moving my family, wife and 8 month old kid (born in India) to US next week. I am on a private health insurance and the qualifying date to add my kid would be August 1st 2015. It seems short term insurance is not applicable considering the age and prior stay in US. Any advise?

Any suggestions on the issue? And if you go with some cheap insurance then you end up with issues like this. If you can't add your son then I guess you have to wait till that day or call your insurance provider and ask for alternative option.
