syed726 Posted June 22, 2015 Report Posted June 22, 2015 i am applying for H1B visa Extension for the third time. In my first H1B period i was out of country for 18 months. my second h1B visa extension was only approved for 1 year. Now i am applying for H1B visa extension again, so can i add my out of country duration i.e 18 months with this H1B Visa extension so that my extension period can be 3 1/2 years or should i just apply for two years now. Experts, please advice. Thank you
livliv Posted June 22, 2015 Report Posted June 22, 2015 You can claim the out of US period. But maximum is 3 years at a time.
pontevecchio Posted June 22, 2015 Report Posted June 22, 2015 No H1 extension petition or indeed original petition can exceed 3 years at one time.
jairichi Posted June 22, 2015 Report Posted June 22, 2015 The maximum you can get at one time is 3 years.
