H1B Extension

Hi Friends, Good Morning

 

I had applied H1B extension on June2,2015 in normal mode and it is pending.I am planning to apply H4 extension on July10,2015.My h1 and my spouse h4 will expire on 26 July.I heard that h4 extension takes much longer(8 months) to get approved if we apply h1 and h4 extensions separately.

 

So can i cancel my H1 extension that was already applied and apply H1 and H4 at a time in July 10th,2015? If so my employer has to pay the full fee again?

 

Please let me know.Your response in this regard is much appreciated.

Yes, if they withdraw and file again, they will have to pay again.

 

Another way to get H4 extension after H1 is approved is to leave the US and return with extension approval notice.
