H1B AMENDMENT

Hello everyone,

 

I was working with employer 1 with  X client when my H1 B was filed.

Then my client changed to Y in different state with a different designation with same employer 

 

Now my employer has changed and I have received a new H1 B approval notice for the same.

 

Question:As per the new H1 B amendment law effective Aug'18th...Is there a need for me to file Amendment for client Y with my previous employer.

 

Please provide suggestions with detailed answers.

It appears that you changed your employer while being on the same client Y, incase the new H1B petition which in your case is the H1B transfer petition has the Client Y location listed or is within the same MSA of the 'Employee Work Location' mentioned in your latest petition you should be good. Else you will need an amendment with your new Employer. 

 

Since you have already left your old employer you will need amendment w.r.t to your new employer since he is your H1B employer currently.
