7th year extension with filed PERM with new employer

Hi,

 

I am on my 6th year of of H1B.  I will be completing 6th year on 15th march, 2016.  My current employer filed PERM on 2nd Feb, 2015. This is 365 days before my 6 years completion date.

 

My PERM is yet to approve.  My current company has been acquired by another company and there are speculations on lay offs.

 

Based on my filed PERM can I go to new employer and get the 7th year extension even with out PERM being approved?
