I140 approved but change of employer

My I-140 is approved but planning to change employer. My questions are:

 

1. Will I be able to port my Priority date from my current I140 by changing Job Category with new employer?(i,e from Software developer to Electronics Engineer/manger)

 

2.  I can show that job descriptions are similar but more of leadership role, will I be able to use my old PD? (Both job categories are different though)

PD retention is possible irrespective of the field. Of course be aware of news in the Murthy Website of problems if the original I-140 were to be revoked.
