usa@2008 Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Another bad news on my H4 appear on June 15th ( my h1-b 221g pending from last 2.5 months ) I read some question on this forum to apply H4 who's waiting on h1-221g, I don't SUGGEST TO GO FOR H4, so please wait for H1 responses only. ( almost all questions related to old interview on h1 )

I also got the 221g on H4, but when I asked for the reason for 221g's on my H1B as well as H4, the VO said that they need their systems up to review the documents that I submitted. When the systems are down, I am not sure, how they say the visa approved at other consulates like Vancouver, Mexico, Mumbai etc.. Is that something to do with Ottawa or Trinidad consulate,being small ? Does any one know, what they mean by document review? Is it the review of my H1/H4 petitions with the USCIS (PIMS Database) or the background verification and review based on my Client Letter, Vendor Letter, W2, Tax returns etc. Do they need their systems to be up and running to perform either of this review.

Sorry to hear that. It is not based on the consulate. There is probably a background verification going on and that might include verifying you, your employer's and client's details. The recent issue with their system might be a reason too.
