My question is that is there a possibility to be unemployed while waiting for Stem Extension for a short period with a job offer from another company? I'm looking for a change in job.

Yes that's possible, make sure you are not unemployed for more than 90 days during your OPT period.
livliv Posted June 12, 2015 Report Posted June 12, 2015 120 days unemployment allowed over the total 29 months. Make sure you report exact employment dates, locations etc. to the school DSO. They will enter that into SEVIS. Also, once STEM extension begins any employer you join must be enrolled in EVerify.
