Anonykk Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 Hi all, Is it possible to file GC through ead obtained from The new H4-EAD rule? Thanks
JoeF Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 The GC process would be started by an employer. It doesn't matter in which status the person is. It is independent of the H4 or H4-EAD.

jairichi Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 GC can be filed even when not in any status in US.
livliv Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 For an employer to apply for GC, there is no Visa, status or EAD needed. They can even apply for somebody who is not in the US. Most employers only sponsor their current employees, so if H4 dependent obtains a job using H4 EAD, the employer can file GC for them. But, before GC is received, if the H4 wants to continue to work, they will have to have continuous H4 status. That means the H1 principal will have to have continuous H1 status. First understand the employment based GC process. Read about it on Murthy bulletin and other online resources.
