newbie7 Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Hi I need help from experts in the forum. First of all I really appreciate your time. I was told by employer that GC procedure has been going on, but not giving much details (They asked my certificates and experience certificates, thats it). I came to know that the recruitment process is over... but what is next step after this. The thing bothering me, I have not been asked so far to sign any documents, do I need to sign any documents for GC procedure. I have some trust issues with HR guy, I am wondering whether he is intentionally misleading me, thats my problem. Thanks for your time, Sunny
JoeF Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Labor Certification (LC PERM) and I-140 are the employer's applications, meaning the employer signs them. Ask the employer to get a copy of the I-140 receipt notice. Only the last step, the I-485, is your application.
newbie7 Posted June 7, 2015 Author Report Posted June 7, 2015 JoeF Thanks a lot for information and for your time replying. it is great help for me. Can you give some information on how long it normally takes to get I-140 after recurtiment process. Thanks in advance sunny
JoeF Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Processing times are here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do Be aware that an I-485 can only be filed when the Priority Date is current. Depending on where you are from, that can take several years. Search for "Visa Bulletin" to get the current PD.
ashuneel Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 you need to sign the approved PERM at the time of filing I-140. it is done if paper filing is used.
