rpslps Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Hello When I entered US in April 2014, POE officer issued I-94 till Dec 2015, which is my passport expiry date. My stamping is valid till Jan 2017. In October 2014 my H1b was transferred to new Employer and the I-94 at the bottom of the I-797 states the validity till 2017 October. Do I have to file an extension for I-94 Or since my recent H1b petition has I-94 valid till OCt 2015, should I be fine. By the way I would receive my renewed passport shortly.
jairichi Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 Thanks. This is based on the assumption that you will not complete 6 years on H1B before Oct 2017 and your H1B petition is still valid then.
