dropbox for H1b extension - for university faculty

Hello

I work in a U.S. university as a faculty. Today in day 2 of submitting my H1b extension docs through drop box in Chennai. I read different issues while using drop box, but find most such issues posted by non-academic applicants. Anyone working as a faculty who successfully used drop box for H1b extension? Please share your experiences. 

 

Chennai VFS collected all my passports (including old/expired ones). Is this common?

For faculty, things should be painless.

They are mostly concerned about people working for shady consulting companies.
