hitesh33 Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 Hi Experts, I came to USA on H1 B October, 2014. My passport at that time was getting expired in July, 2015. I got my passport renewed but I recently saw that my I-95 is still expired in July, 2015. My Visa is valid till 2017. I read few things online which are Scary. Please advice how to get my I-95 renewed and how to do that. Thanks Hitesh
jairichi Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 Exit and enter US with a valid H1B visa (in your old passport), new passport and I797. You will get a new I94. If you are doing that by crossing the border at Canada or Mexico ask for a new I94 at POE.
pontevecchio Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 Inform your company. Try to have the CBP Office at the local airport correct your I94 in view of anecdotal reports in the forum. Finally if no joy leave and return on the H1 visa and the approved Petition.
hitesh33 Posted June 1, 2015 Author Report Posted June 1, 2015 Thanks guys. Do I have to go to USCIS field office or can i get it corrected before I go across border and come back. I was thinking to go to Mexico since I live in San Diego and would see Mexico as well and would be much easier option.

There is a thread in this forum about people getting I94 renewed at US/Mexico border. Have a look at it for details.
