SudharshanRavichandran
Hey all, I'm seeking your expert opinion in my situation. Me and my wife both were working in the USA on valid I-797 (no stamping), for the same company and went to Myanmar (Burma) on vacation. My in-law works there. Went for stamping there (December'2014) and the Verification officer immediately issued 221g for both of us just by looking into the employer name. After couple of days he called back and said visas were refused because the employer doesn't have control over my roles and responsibilities, but only the client does. My employer and attorney said they will content the decision when the USCIS send the Notice of Intent to Revoke which never came to them yet. Meanwhile, since it is already close to 6 months after refusal, decided to get B1/B2 visa and we both went to the consulate in Chennai. Explained our situation and they again denied our visa based on 214b (immigration intent). Okay, fine. But my question is I came to Burma and India on vacation; haven't planned anything to safeguard my home and cars in the USA. Now, help me how can I settle my house (still under loan) and cars (still under loan) and bring back my personal items, sell off all the furniture and other stuff in my home while I'm stuck here. Any input is appreciated. Regards, Confused Indian (NOW with NO intent to immigrate in USA) Link to comment
jairichi
You need to take the help of your friends to send your personal belongings back. For selling your house you need to get in touch with agencies. You need to advertise your car for selling in websites and get help on this from your friends too. Link to comment

Could you please add more details, because I heard that there might be some consulate visits and have to sign some documents in front of a consular officer. I need details in here please. You need to contact the banks that gave you loans for house and car and get things sorted out. Link to comment
pontevecchio
I am sorry to hear that. Do you work for a consultancy? Seek guidance from the firm of Murthy. Link to comment

That's okay, don't worry about it. And yes, I worked for a consultancy. EVC model. I don't have plans to seek guidance on home/car etc with Murthy, but thanks for the option. I'll use it if i really need it. Link to comment

I know it is tough. But, if you plan things well you can sort these issues in a comfortable way. Priority should be given to contact banks for home mortgage and car loan. Because I believe it is not a very simple process. Lots of documentation work might be needed. Link to comment
JoeF
And yes, I worked for a consultancy. EVC model. That's the root of the problem. There is a reason why we always say "avoid consulting companies, avoid EVC"... Link to comment

That's why you need help from an attorney office. They can find another option for you, if you are lucky you might get into US on visiting visa. Link to comment
SudharshanRavichandran
That's the root of the problem. There is a reason why we always say "avoid consulting companies, avoid EVC"... I agree. I even pulled my wife out of MNC to join a consultancy. Link to comment
