Job switch after 140 approval

Hi All,

 

I just got my 140 approved last week. I'm looking to switch job. I've following questions related to it

 

1) Do i need to wait for 180 days from my approval date before we make a switch to a new company?

2) If #1 is yes, what happens in an event i make a switch before 180 days

>>>>> No. That rule is after you apply for I485 and have your EAD not for 140. But make sure your prev employer doesn't revoke the 140 before your H1B transfer incase you have maxed out your 6 year H1B term.
