ak_mn_10 Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 We responded to my husband's RFE 1.5 weeks back ( it was already in premium processing) . We have completed 6 years and this is H1b renewal. Is this same as extension of stay? Does that mean if we dont hear from USCIS then they will return our fees and will they then contiue processing regularly? or put na hold on the application?

As per my understanding, amendments are submitted for location, project, job role, salary changes. Does USCIS treat amendment as extension or it is treated as seperate category by itself ?
rahul412 Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Amendment is nothing but a new H1 but cap exempt. So it should effect your H1 too, that's my understanding.

I am in the same boat. I have submitted the RFE response on May 15 but stays still shows RFE. Any updates?
MakeAmericaGreatAgain_2017 Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 what are the chances USCIS will extend the suspension beyond July 27th? The suspension is only for extension of stay i.e. either beyond 3 yrs or 6 yrs with same employer or people changing job when i-140 is approved I believe.

ak_mn_10 Posted June 5, 2015 Author Report Posted June 5, 2015 @KS261187 @ sbob1002 Ours got approved on June 3. H1 & H4 both were filed in PP in Feb, but Rfe in March..so finally responded sometime in May...dont know date. Hoping you guys get your approval too.
