planotx1710 Posted May 18, 2015 Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 I am currently on H1-B visa and I am planning to get married in the months of Dec- Feb in India. My fiance is an US citizen. My question is that if we get married over here on the court and then immediately apply for my greencard in June/July timeframe, at what point on the processing would it be advisable to travel to India. I know that it takes 6-8 months if we are within the country but is there any point during the processing when I can travel to India and not need a stamping of H1 to come back ? Link to comment
