MyProfile4 Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 Can we file both H1-B extension and amendment for client/location change at the same time? Here is my situation: H1B expiring on September 30th, 2015 My project with a new client started last month on April 15th. Now because of the new rule we need to file amendment for location/client change. Since my H1-B extension is due in 5 months can i file both H1-B extension and location/project change amendment now at the same time or do i need to file Amendment first and then file for H1-B extension? Thanks in advance!
jairichi Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 An amendment or extension is nothing but a new H1B petition that is cap exempt. So, it should be possible to do it together.

Thanks for the reply Jairichi!! But i've been told by my employer that when we file we will have an option to specify whether it is Amendment or Extension. So he told that we cannot file both at the same time. He told that we have to send two different applications. Any more suggestions on that?
