I'm moved from h1 to h4 in April 2014. I had applied for h4 in India and got my visa stamped in April 2014 in India and travelled back to US on 12th April 2014. I used my spouse's new i-797 (h1b) extension when I went for visa stamping and it is valid till April 2017.

On arrival into the US, at POE the officer had written April 2017 as Admit Until date on my visa (in the passport). But now when I pulled up my I-94 online it shows the Admit Until date as 20 April 2014 and last entered date as 12 April 2014. Last week I had get my license renewed but they could not because my i-94 as wrong Admit Until date as 20 April 2014.

I contacted my local CBP office (Border Protection) and she said since my husband did not travel with me his i-94 has not been extended, so my i-94 dates will reflect his dates. I told her that I did not have this issue before since i-94's used to be paper copies 2 year ago and hand written. She said may be my husband needs to leave the country and come back and then my i-94 can be updated. This is crazy and ridiculous. Please let me know how such silly issues can be handled by USCIS.

You have to contact an attorney rightaway and explain your situation. There is a possibility to salavage your situation through nunc pro tunc route. Otherwise you are looking at a possible ban to enter US.
