sharin Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 I am about to leave on vacation to India and I will be back to USA on June 1st 2015. But I just realized that my visa will expire on Oct 8 2015 (only 3 months remaining during re-entry). Will it cause any issue for re-entry to USA at port of entry? I work for Global reputed company as Full-Time employee since Oct 2012. (No consultant / project to project or any contractor). Do I need to carry any other documents except : 1. Passport with current H1-B stamped visa expiring on Oct 8, 2015 2. Recent Employment verification letter as Full-time employee 3. Recent pay stubs (travelling on paid vacation) - I will receive couple of pay stubs for May month. 4. Recent 2014 Tax Return and W2 for 2014 year 5. Lease agreement for current address 6. Utility bill for current address I am really worried after realizing about my current situation. Also - My current passport is expiring on 12 Feb 2016, I read somewhere that "passport must be valid for at least 1 year from date of re-entry to the U.S."
jairichi Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 You are fine. Based on your passport expiry date you will get I94 expiry date.
